Central Library

The Central Library of the college has been planned with an aim to collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty and other staff of the Institute are encouraged to make use of the library facilities through library membership  free of cost. The library, besides having a huge collection of books on engineering, science and humanities, offers library services through its various Departments.

Toppers Privilege:

To encourage academic excellence the management gives class toppers from each sections of every branch, books of their choice. Each topper can indicate their preference for 6 titles every semester. These books will be issued to the toppers for their use till the semester end.
 

Computerization & Network Based Resource Access:

The Library uses Autolib software package, which is an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The database of books available in the Library is being updated on a day-to-day basis with details of recently acquired books. Records of all the Library users have also been created in the Autolib package. All members are encouraged to make use of books availability, search and reserve books of their preferences for borrowing. The Library has its own sub-LAN consisting of 35 terminals, two terminals to support Autolib OPAC services and other in-house computerization activities. The Library has 12 systems including 2 are exclusively earmarked for the users for CD-ROM and Internet searches. All terminals, available in the Library are connected to the Campus LAN. The terminals in the Library can also be used for Internet access and as Digital library for usage of resources.
