Electronics and Communication Engineering programme was introduced at SKR Engineering College in the academic year 2001–02.Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is a swiftly advancing field, with new ideas emerging every other second. From mobile phones to fiber optics and remote sensing, there are exciting avenues to explore and create. The ECE department at SKR prepares students for careers in this constantly evolving discipline. Students pursuing BE in ECE have a full and flexible undergraduate curriculum. Numerous streams can be tailored to fit every individual's interests, skills and career goals. Students can prepare for technological careers in industry, academia or management. The institution prepares students for leadership roles in research, development and design positions that require skillful and imaginative engineering solutions.
The department has well equipped Laboratories such as Communication laboratory, Microprocessor Laboratory; Electronics circuits Laboratory, Microwave Laboratory, Digital/analog circuits laboratory, Optical communication laboratory and VLSI laboratory. The department has highly educated Faculty members having a vast experience in their field. The department has a well-balanced workforce having experience in academics and in Industries. Students are given education as well as training exposure in order to get placed in highly reputed Industries The major areas of faculty expertise of the department include Biomedical Signal Processing, Communication Systems, Computer Networks, Control Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Image Processing & Computer Vision, Instrumentation, Multimedia Security,RF and Microwaves, VLSI Systems.
