Student Welfare

  • Meritorious students are awarded and the class toppers are provided with additional books from the library for the entire Semester. Scholarships, Fee concession and free transport facilities are offered to meritorious and economically Weaker students.
  • Bridge course and Computer Programming is conducted to the first year students at the beginning of the first semester.
  • Problem oriented core courses and mathematical courses are handled with a maximum of 30 students per subject by an individual teacher instead of 60.
  • Industrial visits are arranged once/twice in a semester for the students to gain practical exposure.
  • The students are motivated to undergo in plant training at various industries.
  • MoUs is signed with leading industries to bridge the gap between institute and industry.

    Ragging and eve-teasing

    (i) Ragging and eve-teasing are considered as crimes. They are strictly prohibited by an act promulgated by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu with a fine upto Rs.10, 000/- and 2 years of rigorous imprisonment. Anti - Ragging Toll free Number: 1800-180- 5522 or 155222.

    (ii) Students indulging in any form of ragging or Eve-Teasing inside the college or Hostel premises or outside the campus shall summarily be expelled from the college.

    Parent – Teachers Meeting

    Students who fail in any subject in any internal test should meet the Principal/HOD with their parents soon after the receipt of their progress reports from the college. Defaulters will not be permittedto attend the college.

    Medical Facilities

    A separate Medical room is available in the campus with two beds. A resident doctor would provide immediate consultation for hostel students. The college has medical tie-up with Vee Care SundarHospital, Poonamallee to cater emergency services.

    Students’ Advisors for Counseling

    To give personal attention, a group comprising of 15 students are assigned to a faculty advisor. Faculty Advisors offer psychological and confidential counseling services to help them explore and understand the opportunities and meet the challenges. Counseling is also provided to groom and support in stressful situations.This counseling helps the students to share their issues, needs and get proper guidance from the mentors and also motivates them for further excellence in academics.

    Alumni Association

    The institution has a registered Alumni Association. Alumni meet is held every year. TheAlumni actively engage in the developmental projects of the college and periodically makescontributions to the college in the form of sponsoring academic seminars and other supports likeproviding placement assistance, arranging industrial visits through training and placement cell to make the current students industry ready. The Alumni interact with the studentsand clarify their queries regarding job opportunities and higher education.
