Department of Civil Engineering
The Civil Engineering Department has been established in the College since the year 2011 - 2012 with an annual intake of 60 students. The department offers 4 years B.E degree program in Civil Engineering. The current educational objectives of the Civil Engineering program are that our graduates will achieve a high level of technical expertise so that they are able to succeed in positions in civil engineering practice or research, and in other fields they choose to pursue like higher education in India or abroad. The department plays a vital role in training the students through in-plant training and industrial visits to tackle the field associated problems arising in the industry so that they gain exposure to global requirements.
The department is well equipped with Laboratories such as Surveying, Fluid Mechanics laboratory, Strength of Material Laboratory, Concrete & Highway Engineering Laboratory, Soil Mechanics Laboratory Exclusive Computing facility with Civil Engineering softwares like AutoCAD 2013, Rivet Architecture/Structure,3DS Max . The department has faculty members from various reputed Institutions and Industries. The major areas of faculty expertise of the department include Enviornmental Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Intergrated Water Resources Management , Coastal Management
The present III year ( 2011 Batch ) is of 65 in strength which includes 12 girls and present second year ( 2012 ) batch is of 58 in strength which includes 15 girls.
