The study was not able to find the reason for long COVID in either men or women, but the study initiated a debate in the world regarding the safety of women against long COVID.

What is long COVID?

The World Health Organization, along with the Centers for Disease Control and prevention, have already made it clear that some people might experience symptoms of COVID-19 for a longer period.

This long period can be one year, six months, or three months according to the severity of the symptoms. The intensity of these symptoms caused by long COVID is going to be on a much lower side, so it might not impact your life as a regular COVID infection.

The long COVID might lower your productivity, and it might hamper your day-to-day activities, but it is not as deadly as a regularly covered infection.

The first section is of general symptoms which are similar to COVID-19. You might experience tiredness and fatigue for a longer period as a result of long COVID. A lot of symptoms related to long COVID are also associated with other diseases. That is why it becomes very hard for a doctor to diagnose any person with long COVID symptoms, either women or men.

Another thing that makes the diagnosis more difficult is that you might develop just symptoms related to COVID-19 without any other disease. For example, you might experience Diarrhea or Constipation due to your eating habits, which is also a symptom of long COVID.

Similar to diagnosis, treatment for long COVID symptoms is also very tricky. Currently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or Food and Drug Administration of the United States, has not approved any specific treatment for long COVID symptoms.

Apart from that, any pharmaceutical giant or health experts have not even proposed any treatment for low COVID symptoms.

Yes, doctors are treating people affected with low COVID symptoms, but the doctors are trying to lower the intensity and treat the symptoms a person is experiencing.
